Does the vest come with front and back plates?
There are a couple of terms that are important to know in order to understand the question better. In the body armor market, the term "plate" is used to describe hard armor, that typically stops rifle rounds whereas a "panel" refers to a vests' armor insert's. So, while the standard vest does not come with front and back plates, the vest does ship with front and back armor panels. The difference between a plate and a panel as it refers to our products specifically is the level of protection. The IIIA armor panel, that is included with each Bulletsafe vest, will stop pistol caliber projectiles up to .44 magnum. For protection against rifle calibers, you will need to additionally purchase either the lightweight or alpha plate.
