The fitting of a BulletProof Vest
- How VP3 Vest should fit.
- The vest should sit at the top or center of the navel and the neckline of the vest is at the first notch on the sternum one inch below the clavicle notch that makes it when you sit down it doesn't push up into your neck. (Do not pull down for comfort.) This will protect your heart and vitals while allowing you to keep mobility.
- Straps should be tight, so vest does not adjust due to use (eliminating defense purpose), but not too tight as to hinder mobility and/or breathing.
- Why is my stomach below my navel not protected?
- The stomach is more exposed, but stomach wounds are generally not immediately life threatening, and while it would be great to protect every inch, mobility to avoid line of fire, and/or react without vest impeding You is the goal while offering Your vital areas protection.

2. How tactical plate carrier should fit. (General Rule: Your plate carrier should copy your ribs.)
-
- It must be worn high and stop at the top of the sternum. Adjust the shoulder straps so the top of the front plate aligns with your sternal notch, where your collarbone meets your sternum.
- The ideal height for the backplate is the same as your front plate.
- straps should be tight so that the plate carrier does not move around while moving and running. However, should not be so tight that it can obstruct your breathing and/or mobility.
- Why isn’t “X” area covered?
- A plate carrier is meant as a last resort, Avoiding the line of fire should be the first call. Now with that stated the current coverage area will allow the plate carrier to protect your heart and vitals while allowing you to keep mobility. You must be able to easily make side-to-side movements and to lean in any direction with ease. The general goal is to give you the needed protection with as much mobility possible.
