How do I Clean my BulletSafe VP3 Vest?

After wearing your VP3 vest for a period of time, you may want to evaluate your vest's appearance and scent. Build up of sweat and odor is common when wearing a vest regardless if the vest breathes well or not. Dirt and stains may become an issue that can be fixed with proper cleaning. Prior to cleaning your vest you must :

• Remove any gear or patches from the carrier
• Remove any hard armor plates from the carrier
• Remove the soft armor panels from the carrier

*Washing the armored panels of your vest will damage and lessen the integrity of your vest.

After you have separated the actual armor from the carrier, you are free to start cleaning. You can either spot clean or hand wash with mild detergent in water and scrub with a soft bristle brush, if needed, then hang to dry.  Do NOT use a brush with metal bristles as this may damage your carrier. You may also machine wash with mild detergent and tumble dry on low heat. Allow your carrier to fully dry before reassembling. Washing your carrier should be a routine and normal function to ensure the upkeep.
